  1. If it's new and unworn then it should have all three cards with matching serial numbers. If it still has all factory warranty left, then it's a good deal in my opinion. Especially if it's the 2500D. I just picked up a two month old Gen 2201.50.00 with the 2500D movement. With shipping etc, I'm into the watch for about $3650.00 and I'm very pleased with that. There are lots available in the $2700 range but they are years older and have no warranty remaining. Everyone has their own opinion though
  2. Indy, Have you had any issues with the crown? I'd love to pick one up but I'm leary of the famous stripping crown problems that most of the PO's have. Cheers!
  3. I think they are all the same. I placed an order with another "Trusted Dealer" - Communication was dismal, language barriers, took forever, etc, etc. I guess it's just the price you pay. In the end, I was happy with the product. Cheers!
  4. Another bump for the G-Shock. One quick look shows GMT & Local Time. Hard to beat!
  5. Thanks again... you've been a great help. Not sure yet but I'll most likely go all the way, but I'll take my time collecting the parts. It should be fun and, save the case and movement, I'll have pretty much a Gen PO at a fraction of the price. Guess I'll have to start cruising the parts forums now Cheers!
  6. G'day gentlemen, I've attached the QC Photos. I would welcome any questions or concerns you have as I'm a total noob and this is my first Rep purchase. The only thing I see is the Bezel Pointer is not centered on the 12 O'clock position but that may just be a paralax error? Remember, it is supposed to be a 42mm V5 PO with a Swiss ETA movement and I will be using it to eventually Franken. I guess, my only major concern with the watch will be the Crown and Tube as I have heard it was a very common problem with the 42mm PO Rep? Cheers!
  7. I just reported the post as illegal. Hopefully, it will save someone a little heartache.
  8. Thank you gentlemen... it is being sold as a Gen on a local trading site but it didn't look right to me. This Forum is amazing! Cheers, Chris
  9. Gentlemen, Could I trouble someone more knowledgeable than I to take a look at the photo and tell me if the watch is a Gen or Rep please. I'm quickly reading as much as possible but would appreciate an experts advice in the mean time. Cheers, Chris
  10. Can't thank you enough for taking a few minutes to help me out! Watch is ordered and I'll post the QC pictures here. Cheers
  11. Just so I'm sure before I buy... this is what I'm looking for? New V5 Correct Version Planet Ocean 42mm swiss ETA 2824 28800bph Cheers!http://www.trwatch.com/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=647
  12. Oh... and one other question. If the new version of the 42mm PO is a 1:1 then why can you not Franken it? I've read that it can be modded and I've read that it can't. Just looking for some "correct" info. Cheers!
  13. Ok, can't thank you guys enough for the info. So, it sounds like I can NOT Franken this particular model but should be looking for a 42mm 5th version. Getting a 4th version UPO is a great idea as well however as I want a 42mm and not the 45.5mm the UPO is out. I'll now start looking for a 42mm 5th version. Does anyone know if these are available for purchase new or will I have to buy used? If they can be purchased new, any links would, again, be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Chris
  14. Hey, Thanks for the reply. I'd love to go GEN but that kind of cash + for a watch = Divorce. If anyone knows if the above model from TrustyTime is Franken-able, please let me know. Cheers, Chris
