end72
Hello Paneristi, I just want to confirm if Genuine Paneria PAM187 ETA 6497-1 lowbeat 18,000 VPH used Novodiac shock absorber or Novodiac shock spring . I know that PAM187 ETA 6497-2 uses the incabloc with swan neck because this is hi beat 21,600 vph. Any expert advise? end72
I read a thread from peepshow about the 6497-1 movement in Paneria that "needle regulator plus Novodiac shock protection plus straight spokes on the balance wheel = Swiss". I hope peepshow can chime in

projectologist
Thanks for your post guys but I believed PAM 183 comes on two variants 6497-1 low beat 18000 VPH and 6497-2 Hi beat 21600 VPH. Any additional input guys? I have no idea where you got your information, but starting with the addition of the 183 to the OP lineup in 2004, OP has always used the ETA6497-2 movement (as member w0lf stated above). Google "Panerai 183g" > Images, look at the movement pics, and you will have your answer. Edited April 11, 2014 by projectologist
