danielv2000 Posted April 6, 2014 Report Posted April 6, 2014 It seems this dial has been listed and relisted a few times on the bay. It's on the high side and is a luminova dial. What do the experts thing? Also, seller sells mainly photographic equipment but has vintage Daytona parts for sale.
danielv2000 Posted April 6, 2014 Author Report Posted April 6, 2014 Here's the pic! There's some smudging on some of the lume dots which is strange for a NOS.
Nanuq Posted April 6, 2014 Report Posted April 6, 2014 Remember the guy in Palo Alto with all the vintage parts? Who knows??http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/16352-rolex-parts-bin/
lhooq Posted April 7, 2014 Report Posted April 7, 2014 Liquid Papered lume dots aside, it looks pretty good to me. I don't know of anyone who's been able to replicate that coppery sheen you get when a camera flash bounces off a gen silver dial. Fonts look correct, as do all the metal bits.

It's a shame about the lume dots.Remember the guy in Palo Alto with all the vintage parts? Who knows??http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/16352-rolex-parts-bin/ Wow, that was going way back!!
Guest REPPIN Posted April 7, 2014 Report Posted April 7, 2014 It's gen. Whoever did that lume job deserves an ass kicking though.
