Bezel paint and date stuck

So after two days wear / the paint has starting cracking and dropping out of the bezel. And now also the date wheel is stuck

It's a gmt II From a TD. !

Out of 10 watches I have bought in the last 4 months, 4 needed work upon arrival or shortly after arrival.  Just part of our crazy hobby.  I personally won't send back to dealer based on what experience members of the forum have stated.  I found a good trustworthy watch smith and send them to him to fix.  Not only to fix the identified problem but to check them out and perform any other beneficial services.  Then I know I have something I can wear and enjoy and know it should last.  Just my 2 cents.

Paint can be replaced and movements easily fixed. You can either ask the dealer to replace your watch or you can have it fixed by a trusted watch technician.

Depending on your location, there are rep friendly watchmakers in EU, AUS, and Stateside.

I will see what the TD has to say ...

I took some really close pics ... interesting that under the paint is black ..... 

a proper rolex bezel is actually coloured ceramic ... so repainting this maybe tricky as the standard procedure seems to be to wipe away excess paint with nail varnish remover ... 

I rekon that could lift the blue too ...

Just be aware that depending upon the shipping times to China, etc it can be as much as 3 months round-trip for a watch sent back for repairs.

 

Perhaps your dealer will source for you a perfect bezel and your watch man can install it, and repair the date mechanism.
