bobandshawn Posted June 2, 2014 Report Share Posted June 2, 2014 I've heard mixed things on different forums...but for $45 bucks what the hell. I bought number 3 and 5 about a week ago. I don't know how accurate they are to gen-spec, but I'm going to beat up and vintage them anyway. They take a 29mm dial. Other than that, I'll try to remember to post when they arrive. jmb Posted June 2, 2014 Report Share Posted June 2, 2014 Some of the cases used in ultra-low price applications lack the internal groove the case clamp/tabs slip into. They are meant to be used with the "springy" plastic movement spacer... This pic is a bit fuzzy but there may be a groove in this one. automatico Posted June 2, 2014 Report Share Posted June 2, 2014 I have cut quite a few case clamp grooves in cases using a cut-off disc in a Dremel tool while slowly turning the case in the lathe. It's messy but it's quick and easy. Use a Sharpie to make a line where you need the groove and start the disc on the line. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
