Checking on Ebay SMP

Hi all,

I am currently looking at buying a gen SMP that has come up on ebay but first just wanted to make sure everything was gen and as it should be and thought who else would know better than you all.

genuine omega SMP though I would say on the high side bearing all the marks and no box and papers

 

I think you can get better shaped ones for $1300

The insert is not in good condition and you'd have to buy a new bezel assembly from Omega to replace it as Omega won't sell just the insert!

Thanks all, going to pass on this one. From looking around it is more difficult to find the watch at the price you guys mentioned that will ship outside of CONUS (I'm in Australia)

Australia is expensive sadly but if you ask the US sellers to ship to Australia - many will do it but force you to pay for EMS shipping with tracking which can be $50. I have seen some go for around the $1.3K mark recently (no boxes or papers) but I have to admit, you should try to pick these up sooner rather than later - they are climbing in price.

 

I recall seeing these go for ~$900 about 5 years ago but they are now in the above price range.

The other problem being import charges when importing these watches to Australia which can unfortunately add a bit extra to the price. I will hopefully be able to get my hands of one sooner rather than later.

Never had to pay import charges so not sure?

 

I have purchased watches with custom declaration of $2K and no issues...
