Pannyman04 Posted July 13, 2014 Report Posted July 13, 2014 I have my (deceased) father in law's 80s Datejust coming back shortly after a complete refurb sbortly and I'd like to package it up nicely as a gift for the wife to keep to remember him by, and possibly wear if it takes her fancy. Any thoughts on a source for a (presumably rep) period green service pouch? Would be overkill (and obviously fake) to stick it in a rep box.
panerai153 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Did you get it serviced by Rolex? If you did, it should come back in a service box with the paperwork. That's as authentic as it gets!)) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Pannyman04 Posted July 14, 2014 Author Report Posted July 14, 2014 No it was done by a watchmaker I know (who doesn't work on reps, unfortunately).
HaydenM Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 There are (suspected) gen ones on ebayhttp://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=rolex+service+pouch&LH_PrefLoc=2&_sop=15
HaydenM Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Hayden , like the (suspected) LOL! Haha, Well I honestly know nothing about them. So I just did a quick search
panerai153 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Go over to the Rolex forum or the Vintage Rolex marketplace and see what's available. Both of these are pretty closely monitored, so less likely to get fake stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pannyman04 Posted July 14, 2014 Author Report Posted July 14, 2014 Thanks guys. Tried the US ebay ones but they won't ship to the UK. So need to look to alternative sources.
