billyfras Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 I've read a few topics where ppl have mentioned purchasing clone movements from the bay. I have wanted to pull the trigger on a 7753 clone recently, but I decided to ask first. What are the overall experiences for those who have purchased these movements. Is the success rate fairly high or is it likely that I'll get a faulty piece? Are there any preferred sellers? Thanks for the help.
fabioliveri Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 a valjoux 7753 costs around 600 €... a chinese 145 usd....up to you Ferrari costs 150000 €, a fiat, even if italian and car too costs 10000€ maybe any reason?
billyfras Posted August 14, 2014 Author Report Posted August 14, 2014 I can appreciate the price difference, I really just want to know if I can look forward to getting a good movement (by Asian standards), or if these eBay movements are to be avoided.
Bc1221 Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 theyre pretty much the same movements that come in your rep watches. nothing more, nothing less.
Ezio Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 As bc Said its a 50/50 chance if its a good movement like when you buy a rep some of Them are good some are bad
billyfras Posted August 14, 2014 Author Report Posted August 14, 2014 Ok thanks guys. That's pretty much what I wanted to find out. If it comes faulty at least I'll still have some spare parts and something to practice on.
ceejay Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Atleast buying off eBay you have buyer protection
