BradBMW Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 Hello all, I found an old watch I'm interested in, but the seller doesn't know what movement is in the watch. Can any of you experts chime in? Thanks, Brad
SSTEEL Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 Looks like a Landeron of sorts, what complications does it have? Two sub-dials, 9/3?
alligoat Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 It's a Valjoux 72! Early model- Leonidas so it may not fit in a Daytona case- i've got a couple of Heuers that are late 50s early 60s and they won't fit! You should measure the case- if it's 38mm the plates on the movement may be too big
BradBMW Posted August 27, 2014 Author Report Posted August 27, 2014 I see a 34 on the movement. Is that possibly 34mm?
alligoat Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 I doubt it. The V72 was 13 ligne typically which is around 29mm. Can the seller measure the case on the outside for you? A lot of the V72 watches did have small cases- 34-36 mm.
