  1. He is a well-known faker (proper term?) on the Rolex Forum. Quality looks pretty good, but his case sets usually sell for almost $2000.
  2. I see a 34 on the movement. Is that possibly 34mm?
  3. Nobody. But it's pretty obvious. Nobody on RWG, RWG.bz, RWI, or the Homage Forum has heard back from them in ages.
  4. Hello all, I found an old watch I'm interested in, but the seller doesn't know what movement is in the watch. Can any of you experts chime in? Thanks, Brad
  5. Thanks, Ceejay. I emailed that address. Hopefully, I'll get a response. Thanks, Brad
  6. I think it' may be too short, but I'm not sure to be honest. I can pull it all the way out to hack and set it. But it doesn't allow me to find the first position. It's almost like it's too far into the movement. Perhaps I pushed it too far in before I tightened the screw?
  7. Hello all, Can anyone tell me the correct length of a 702 winding stem for a gen 1575 movement? Mine doesn't allow winding in the first position. Thanks, Brad
  8. Hello gents, After repeated emails to both companies, I've yet to receive a single reply. Are these folks still in business? I'm just about to write them off. Thanks, Brad
  9. Is this still the case? I thought the only difference between the Double Red and the Great White was the dial, and the caseback engraving. Thanks, Brad
  10. Never mind, got it. Had to grind one of my screwdrivers.
  11. I didn't see any 1680 cases on that website. Aren't 5512/3 and 1680 different cases?
  12. I've emailed 4 or 5 times with no response...
  13. Hello all, I need to remove a 1570 movement from a case that was apparently worked on by a Neanderthal. It took a LOT of power to remove the caseback. The 2 clamp screws inside the case won't budge. I can tell a prior "jeweler" didn't know the direction to screw/ unscrew them, because there are scratches on the tops of the screw heads. I do think perhaps I'm using the wrong type of screwdriver. I have a set of jeweler's precision screwdrivers, but the blade was too thick to fit in the slot. I've watched videos online, and the watchmakers seem to use just light pressure to unscrew the clamp screws. Surely someone wouldn't have used loctite?!? Can any of you recommend the proper screwdriver for this? Any other tips? Many thanks, Brad
  14. Hello all, I was wondering if the helium escape valve on the 1665 case works well, or if it is prone to leaks? If I get a Phong (or other) case if I should replace with a gen? Thanks, Brad
  15. They arrived yesterday. The hands look uh-mazing!
  16. Good news! Michael replied, and I now have some aged hands heading my way. Thanks, Brad
  17. I've emailed him 3 or 4 times, but haven't received a response yet. Thanks, Brad
