just told: "This is quarz version"! What to do? Anyone? http://imageshack.com/a/img538/9092/0CBw6A.jpg

Reject it, save up and get the version that the OP has shown.

That watch you have linked to looks cheap & nasty. For a start, date window has no surround, subdials are rounded not sharp like the OP's & gen. Amongst many other things.

Don't waste your money.

Thank you for giving your opinion ceejay - no chance of getting a decent quartz version you think? What movement should be my priority then?

Standard movement in these high end reps is the Asian 7750, a copy of the ETA 7750. Forget about the quartz, they are low end cheapies.

The 7750 chronograph functions will behave just like the genuine model.

This one, it's the grey face model by the look of the pictures.

These new TAG reps are very nice. The only let down is when you look at the back, they can't replicate the 1887 movement.

If I was going to get one I would get the SLR http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=76_116_165&product_id=815

Closed case back. Beautiful watch ;)

Again, thanks for the reply ceejay :)

The other model I was talking about is this: http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&keyword=1887&product_id=1070

Can you spot the any differences between this and the one you mentioned?

The SLR looks beautiful btw, I'm too attracted to these 1887 models and I think I might even go gen  :wounded1:

The only thing I can notice is the V6F version has a updated movement to look more gen like.

Compare the pictures side by side from both versions and see the difference in the movements.

Still quite far from the gen 1887 movement.

I have been up close and personal with the1887 movement and it is beautiful. It's a lot lighter than the ETA 7750 also.

I prefer the the retro/vintage versions you were looking at before this. If I were to go gen I would go with one of those.

Good luck whatever you decide, they are very nice reps and stunning gens.

Hi,

As far as I know the Aquaracer 300M Quartz and the Formula 1 are the only quartz reps virtually the same to the gen ones (1:1). It should be Ronda Quartz (Aquaracer costs around 260 USD, I just bought it the previous week)

The Carrera calibre S1 employs quartz but I have never seen a rep of this one. It's a pity!!

If someone has seen it, please let me know,

More advanced user will be able to provide further information
