fotoman
Well, in my travels i have had the opportunity to meet several forum members. All have been extremely interesting individuals with amazing stories and fascinating lives. All have been extremely hospitable and some have gone out of their way to help a fellow traveler enjoy some of the local ambiance. I am happy to say that Omni is such a stand up person. He was very nice to meet me while i was in town and take me out to enjoy a beautiful restaurant (wish i had a photo but wife had the camera) on the beach on a perfect winter day (80 degrees and breezy) it was from what i could gather a top end seafood restaurant. we both had the steak - i can say the onion soup here is some of the best i have had wow afterward he was nice enough to help me find the local walmart so i could restock some baby supplies before going on with the travels. I just wanted to say thanks again. I wish i could share with all of you some of the amazing folks i have meet through this forum. - some amazing people but - our hobby forbids such detail -its amazing how some of us are in so many different stages of our lives, live on opposite sides of the world and yet have so much in common. Omni's living the good life in an amazing place only hope to be as lucky as he one day. i look forward to continue to meet more members. Especially at our soon to be scheduled South Florida Meet up. omni
You're welcome Pho. I must reply that phoband is quite an articulate and fascinating conversationalist, very interesting to talk to for such a youngster! Youngster, meaning just about anybody I meet at my age now. We covered quite a lot of ground in the short time over lunch. Yes, this just shows you what oddball WIS forum people we are, that we will walk into the top seafood restaurant on Maui and we both order a steak, well, mine did come with a martini. Glad I could show phoband a little local Hawaiian aloha spirit while he passed through. Anybody else, please drop by on your way through, you'll be welcome. Maui No Ka Oi.
