Big Pilot help please

Hi guys. First post here for a long time

Looking for some help with a new Big Pilot. Looking at Trusty's pages just now. Two options leap out at me.

1. Top Gun ceramic. Model 5019.http://www.trusty-watch.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30_238&products_id=12120I like the look of this but am concerned about 2 things. Firstly, is the ceramic black? It looks kinda grey in the photos but that is maybe just the light. Secondly, why only lume at 12,3,6&9?

2. 5004.http://www.trusty-watch.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30_238&products_id=9380. Seems pretty good.

So the question is, what do people think of these models? Personal preference aside, which one would you go for? Or am I missing something - should I be checking out a different model or seller?

ceramic is matte black, the lume is corect, should only be on 12 6 9 and 3

 

the 5004 is also a great rep, I have one myself and very happy with it. They are both pretty well regarded, its just a matter of taste if you want something a little more dressy with the SS or more military/tough with the ceramic.

Thanks opti. I think the deciding factor is that the Ceramic is 48mm vs 5004 46mm. I think 48 is going to look comically big!?

the 5004 is an amazing rep. something about the giant dial, ceramic case combo I don't like with the top gun. comically big agreed.

oh, I didnt realise the ceramic was actually even bigger! I mean the 5004 is big enough, any bigger and your getting into uboat territory

 

my 5004 on croc strap, and i have a 7.5 inch wrist

I have the 5002 - nice watch - definitely appreciate the detail work on the 5004 that IWC did. Looking for a replacement genuine IWC (or really really nice rep) strap with deployant. Any suggestions folks?
