Mxibro
Been researching for ages and cant get all the information needed, are there any Daytona;s @6Sec that are actually reliable? budget wise Im looking at spending around $300-$500 dependent on reliability and overall quality. thanks
alterego
I'm no expert but seconds six could be a problem as there are few if any asian movements that will be reliable. I may be wrong and I hope, so as to have some reactions that turn this post in a prolofic thread, informationwise. Cheers
tomhorn
Short answer. No. Somewhat longer answer. The A7750 with seconds at six is a known problem movement. You can get lucky and have one that runs well for awhile, or it may crap out quickly. There is a 21j Asian movement model that needs the center seconds frozen which is reliable, but you lose the chronograph functions. panerai153
I agree with Tom, pretty risky movement, and not many watch smiths who work on reps will fool with the A7750's with sec@12 or Sec@6 . Supposedly the newer AP reps with the sec@12 are better and more reliable, but nothing has been said about a better movement for the Daytona. Nightwatch
Wackobirdkeeper aka WBK has the reliable quartz-version. Looks good & is thinner, chronohand sweeps, secs at six tick, but those are small. Cost just below $200.
