Marv1nn
My 3227-01 obsession is reaching new heights. I'm considering doing a frankenstein unit with gen movement, dial, etc into one of the old cartel units. Will this work? Has anyone put a gen movement in one of these? Thanks in advance guys!Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Guest rg21044
1:1 and accepting gen parts are often mutually exclusive propositions.
Marv1nn
I know some of the other iwcs are compatible, as Concepta has been a legend at Frankenstein builds for a long time. I haven't ever seen an Ingy done, which is why I'm asking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
tomhorn
Concepta was producing the 3714's primarily. In order to franken that model, it took a lot of case modifications to make a gen movement fit. I suspect you would be up against the same thing with an Ingy chrono. PeteM
If I were you I would hang on as the big makers are going to be going strong on IWCs this year and you may well find some updates coming with these models
Legend
1:1 accuracy is often a misnomer, and highly subjective. It is a marketing slang used by people who have often not seen the genuine article, despite claims otherwise. So the concept of full interchangeability would often turn out to be untrue.
