kernow Posted January 19, 2016 Report Posted January 19, 2016 Another one gone. The Eagles Glenn Frey. So young too. RIP Glenn and thanks for the music.
docdoowop Posted January 19, 2016 Report Posted January 19, 2016 yeah ... my wife and i were teenagers in the 70's... what a decade! all my uncles and aunts were in their 20's and early 30's and my uncles had long hair, smoked pot every day, they had velour posters that glowed under black lights.... i remember sleeping over at some of my uncles' while they and my dad would play cards all night til dawn, cigarettes, beer, the music in the background.... i often think of those days and Frey helped me reminisce today....that is what music does: it brings you to places and times past in the mind that were dear to you.... his music will live on....
hambone Posted January 20, 2016 Report Posted January 20, 2016 I grew up with the Eagles and last saw them here in LV at the MGM in 2007. They played with Joe Walsh, along with Glen Frye and Don Henley. Was one of the finest rock concerts I have ever seen. Glen's passing looms large in the music world and they have had been hugely influential. Sad, RIP Glen.
