shultz Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 That said, anyone who does lose a cyclops during the coating process would have the opportunity to buy a replacement from me when the 7mm cyclopes are available early next month That's the plan
subzero1 Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 I also have a navitimer on the way, so if it gets here before the deadline, I'll actually have 6 crystals to send in, not 5 as stated in my previous post.
Guest avitt Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 I'd like to jump on board with 1 (genuine Hamilton GMT). Thanks.

shultz Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 ...so if it gets here before the deadline As far as I am understanding we are first gauging interest? Or has a deadline already been mentioned? I will need some time to get my both crystals removed...

I will need some time to get my both crystals removed... You could do what I do - unscrew the back & remove the bracelet, remove the movement, put the watch case inside a thick sock, wedge the watch at a 45 degree angle between your floor and one of your walls, then use a hammer to tap out the crystal from the inside. The sock will keep the crystal fairly safe, as long as you don't use excessive force. Primitive, but it works fine.
flavor flav Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 oh what the hell......my 187 can use some AR as well......put me down for 5 at the 40 unit price

rek001 Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 What is the deadline for submitting crystals, please?
HauteHippie Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 What is the deadline for submitting crystals, please? Once we get to 40 commits I'm going to cut it off. I'd actually thought 40 would have been reached by now, but oh well.
shultz Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 or just press it out with two thumbs like i do. That's what I did today on my PAM050. Worked perfectly! Let's cross our fingers for reaching the magic 40!!!
lovepanerai Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Once we get to 40 commits I'm going to cut it off. I'd actually thought 40 would have been reached by now, but oh well. I am in for 6 crystals - The Zigmeister will remove them for me and send them directly to you
HauteHippie Posted January 11, 2007 Author Report Posted January 11, 2007 All - I'm thinking that it might make sense to wait for the AR run until after the 7mm (6.8 to be exact) cyclopes arrive. Anyone who wants a new cyclops and AR would need to install (or have it installed) the cyclops first and then get the whole thing coated. If you coat the crystal, you're not going to be able to upgrade the cyclops without damage to the coating. Comments?

Comments? sounds like a plan to me - I am in no particular rush - I think it is more important to get it right
shorkun Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Anyone in LA area can help me out removing the crystal from pam 63 ? Thanks, Shorkun
snate73 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Hi Chieftang, Count me in for 1 crystal (double AR)!! Thanks for doing this.. Nathan
Devedander Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 I would really love a little delay becuase I would be in for at least 1 or 2 but not quite just yet...
Craytonic Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Same here, please hold off another week for the one I want coated to come in!

If you coat the crystal, you're not going to be able to upgrade the cyclops without damage to the coating. Comments? Probably we could start a first run of all crystals with no cyclops? Just an idea. I really don't know how much interested members we are and if my suggestion makes a sense. I am ready to go with PAM196 and IWC Inge crystals which don't need a cyclops swap first. As said: Just an idea...
flavor flav Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 craytonic is sending me his VC overseas so count him in for 1 double AR. i'll send you his crystal along with mine.
