margar70 Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 Today 16:42 Very beginner question -- When discussing build or mods on Rolez subs why is drilling the lug holes important?
1 horz Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Just to clarify, the lug holes are drilled out using a 1.25mm ideally (or 1.3mm) drill bit. The 2mm dimension refers to the diameter of the springbar, whereas the ends, which locate in the lug holes, are a smaller diameter.
0 jackflash Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 Today 16:42 Very beginner question -- When discussing build or mods on Rolez subs why is drilling the lug holes important? The rep case lug holes are too small to accept the gen-spec 2mm spring bars. So many modders decide to drill the lug holes out, not only to accept the 2mm spring bars, but also for a more gen-like appearance.
0 RickFlorida Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 I had to learn this too. Another reason I think is if you want gen-like end links like from WSO, you need the gen. Spec 2mm spring bars for proper fit inside the end links. Otherwise you have too much slop. So is more than just looks it sounds like.
