Just to clarify, the lug holes are drilled out using a 1.25mm ideally (or 1.3mm) drill bit. The 2mm dimension refers to the diameter of the springbar, whereas the ends, which locate in the lug holes, are a smaller diameter.

Ditto. Cheapo calipers are handy, but I wouldn't use them for anything which absolutely needs to be precise. Plus, in my experience, they burn through batteries like nothing else. Have you checked with any TDs? I picked up a 1911 discovery chrono back in 2012 and asked about extra links at the time, but they'd only sell an extra bracelet for $58.

I've got some of both. The green gets used the majority of the time, but for places where residue is more noticeable (like underside of crystals) the grey is better imo.

Athaya was making some 702 crowns, last I heard. That was at the end of October though, so I don't know how much progress has been made.

That watch in the initial pics is a v5 42mm PO. The UPO is the 45mm version. Both are the older, non-ceramic, models. And the pic you posted from TT is the newer 45mm PO with the ceramic insert. I think they're still v1 at the moment, not sure. Can get a bit confusing at times, but such is the nature of the rep game!

AP diver is the first thing that comes to mind, not sure how available they are from dealers at the moment though. Bell & Ross br02 is pretty well repped I think and has an internal bezel also. IWC coustea models as well I think the massive Hublot thing (king power?) has an internal bezel as well Gens I can think of: Orient cal. 469 40th anniversary Halios Laguna Some Ball watches such as the EMII diver There's also the Landeron compressor which was available as a kit or pre-assembled, and is a homage to the JLC polaris. how come the right watch looks to have a shorter hour hand then? It seems to cut the subdial at the 20 mark, but the left one is nearer the 22 mark

i'm gonna go for left being gen too. The wave pattern looks a lot more defined than the on the right one edit: just read your other post about the franken having a gen dial, guess it's just a trick of the light. I'm going to switch to the right one being gen now as the hour hand looks a bit shorter than it should be. In any case, they both look stunning!

FYI, in the gen it's a copper sulphate capsule, which absorbs moisture inside the watch and changes colour to blue as it does so (when it's completely blue i believe that means it is saturated with moisture). The case itself is filled with argon gas
