I wouldn't bother. I doubt you are going to find a good one trawling tourist markets. Better by far to read up in the AP section and then buy one from a member or a Trusted Dealer.

 

I think JF is generally considered to be the best factory.

MBK Centre, stalls mid-way nearest the escalators. Ask for "better quality". But, as@sogeha said, this quality will not be the same as JF or other trusted dealer pieces.

Long story short. Buy from trusted dealers and not in BKK.

I lived in BKK for 6 years... I never bought a rep there despite being at MBK many times...

 

There are a few sellers in MBK that you can find good quality reps we are used to from our trusted dealers... but it's way safer to just buy from vetted sellers.

 

I would not recommend buying reps in BKK or any other place in SE Asia for that matter

This mirrors what I said. And often, the TD reps supplied are not the latest and greatest... (And often the same price if not more!)

Ive strolled the entire MBK mall, they have some really poor reps for sale. You can ask whether they have the better stuff, but its all hidden elsewhere in another warehouse since they are high value items. Its not a great way to deal, so I dont recommended shopping there. Better off buying online.
