Quartz Panerai Spotted

Yes, in the window of a Panerai AD, I saw a Panerai Quartz. It's a gen, too. Excuse the photos but my RAZR was the best camera I had on me.

It's on the bottom left of this picture:

Yes, it's a two-crowned case, quartz alarm travel desk-clock.

Weird... and funny!

I think that Panerai is becoming a victim of the brands own sucess.. And they are trying to cash in on other spinoff products like travel clocks, wall clocks and even Cup pads like Paul is selling on Wo-Mart... Soon there will be Panerai After Shave, beer, tooth brushes and dust bins.. Just like the Harley Davidson brand was destroyed.

A tiny one off the Champs Elysees, near Place des Ternes.

I don't take my camera window shopping because jewellery shops take a very dim view of people casing the joint ... I mean, er, tourists with cameras.

I actually handled one of these at the recent Panerai event at my local AD - nice but gimmicky. The desk clocks are also a quartz movt. They also make a desk barometer as well!!

Ah, yes - nice Idea indeed ! I would buy a rep of it too - should be not

too hard to produce for the factories.

And I really would not be picky about flaws on this one... (as long as it is

overall good quality !)
