Born just a few miles from where I was born (somewhat later). His third clock, with wooden gears is at Nostell Priory, a Palladium country house near Wakefield and not far from his birth place. The gears and workings are all made of wood, I have seen it a many times. Last year I was walking in London and by chance found the place where he lived his final years and died.
