I might pick up one.  Not sure though.  I don’t mind winding a setting a watch after it’s been sitting in the case for a while. 

 

Also, I’ve read that leaving on the winder can wear the watch out faster??

Whilst I have two winders - a 6 watch winder and a 24 watch winder, I don’t use them that often. If you’ve a few watches that you wear in rotation every few days then great, it saves setting the time so you’re set to grab and go. However, once a week or so you’re going to have to reset the time anyway. As for increased wear, yes probably a little but it saves on wear on the crown and tube! I have them now mostly as display cabinets.
