7750 Eta Fake or Genuine

Question

Posted

Hi all,

Bought this from ebay as gen Swiss Eta 7750 but there are no eta 7750 mark on the movement, instead there is C and  25 signs. For me it looks like some clone. Any possibility that this is gen eta 7750 ? Thanks for your opinions.

Looks good to me.

7750 Top Grade.

Can't comment on the mainplate stamp. The Swiss are a law unto themselves!

I showed the pictures to 2 watchmakers and they told it is clone, sellers claims genuine :) Thank for your opinion.

This looks to me to be a gen ETA7750, and like what Tomhorn implied, it could be a movement used in a brand which uses its own datewheel font, thereby explaining the dw font variation, and perhaps the lack of the ETA stamp.

Thank you guys for your opinions. Movement is on the way back to seller. I will try to find new 7750 with correct marking.
