Tribal Posted August 15, 2018 Report Posted August 15, 2018 Hello Gang, I want to inform you that the ARF V2 SD 126600 comes also with a Cyclops that magnifiers like 3x. It seems that it depend which batch you get.The crystal has also an invisible AR coating on the backside.I got a V2 with 3x magnification on an sale and changed the Crystal to the right one. ( Thanks Watcher ????) Here you can see the difference.BeforeAfterSo the difference is obviously.Cheers Tribal 1
Jumpiter Posted August 15, 2018 Report Posted August 15, 2018 Thanks great to know will you fix the rehaut on the left side? That to me is more obvious than the magnification.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
P4GTR Posted August 15, 2018 Report Posted August 15, 2018 Thsnks for posting Tribal. I had my suspicions about this. Finally someone tested it out. So... Where do we get this correct glass? I'm forever tempted to remove that stupid date mag to begin with. Love the watch though. 1
capice Posted August 15, 2018 Report Posted August 15, 2018 Looks good D,...I will check mine with your images after my holiday. 1

bertieng Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 Hi D, will the gen crystal fit onto the rep case? Which tropic is it using? Any idea? Cheers.
Tribal Posted September 12, 2018 Author Report Posted September 12, 2018 Yes it will fit, but hard to get! This is the Rolex NumberB25-7003-1C1
bertieng Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 Thanks for the info, D. So this is a completely new crystal, not shared from the old Sub, SD then.
Tribal Posted September 12, 2018 Author Report Posted September 12, 2018 Yes, it's much thicker than a Sub crystal. Here you can see the construction.
bertieng Posted September 14, 2018 Report Posted September 14, 2018 Thanks for the clarification, D. How did you pry off the bezel? Does it just pop off with the a watch knife? What's that metal ring on the lower line? It holds the crystal instead of the usual nylon gasket?
Tribal Posted September 14, 2018 Author Report Posted September 14, 2018 Yes, just pop it off with a knife. On the Pics you see, crystal, movement holder, retainer, case and bezel.
bertieng Posted September 14, 2018 Report Posted September 14, 2018 I see. The retainer sits on the crystal? It needs to be press fit?
Tribal Posted September 14, 2018 Author Report Posted September 14, 2018 Yes like gen construction. glass with gasket fitted over Rehaut. Retainer pressed over glass with gasket.Like this!
bertieng Posted September 15, 2018 Report Posted September 15, 2018 Thanks again, D, for the details. But where is that "crystal securing ring in Ti" gone? It doesn't seem to be shown in your case dissection pic. Your retainer = Bezel fastening ring? Am I correct?
Tribal Posted September 15, 2018 Author Report Posted September 15, 2018 So it's mostly the same construction than on a 116610. The crystal clips in the plastic gasket. The retaining ring holds crystal and gasket in place. There is a Hyrtel ring inside the bezel that hold it in place. Do u understand?
bertieng Posted September 16, 2018 Report Posted September 16, 2018 Thanks for the clarification, D. I don't actually own an 116610, so not fully understood, lol. In this case, the Bezel fastening ring is actually attached inside the bezel in your pic, right? Sorry for my ignorance.
Tribal Posted September 16, 2018 Author Report Posted September 16, 2018 The bezel fastening ring is the retainer.
bertieng Posted September 17, 2018 Report Posted September 17, 2018 I see, thanks, D So the construction is not 100% par to the gen then.
Tribal Posted September 18, 2018 Author Report Posted September 18, 2018 It's like gen. I see, thanks, D So the construction is not 100% par to the gen then.
