paneristi_man
Hi,My Omega Seamaster is dead, though it was serviced once. I am thinking of replacing the entire movement rather than trying to repair it. Can anyone advice me which watch movement to get for this watch? Will a generic Selita movement or Miyota fit into this watch? The real Omega movement may be a bit too expensive but will that fit? Best if you could also provide a link where I can purchase the movement. Thanks in advance for this wonderful community of rep owners who has the knowledge to assist. Cheers, Nick
ryaku
It should be powered by a A2836. You can buy a ETA 2836 but you'd better check hands height if you want to attempt the movement swap yourself.
paneristi_man
Thanks Ryaku. Where can I get one of these A2836 movement? I found this on Ofrei, it's a Selita movement that is a clone of ETA-2836-2. http://www.ofrei.com/page_181.html Will that fit?
