What to use with Rolex cal 3000 dimensions?

Thinking about making an Airking. I have 2 full cases 15010.

To avoid the whole DWO I'm going to use them as "14010". Ergo without Date.

 

2824-2?

Anything other?

My experience with Frankenjusts is that the 2836-2 fits in the 16013, 16014 and 16030 cases- i.e. the early cases which took a 3035 Rolex movt. The 162xx series cases take the 2824-2. The reason is because of where the stem/crown lines up.

 

So a 2836-2 it is will be..

I'm always amazed looking back at some of the decades-old posts on this forum. It really has an identity in a way the others don't, imo. 

 

Im not familiar with the Air King but it looks cool, the bezel is a nice throwback. Keep us updated on the build.

I have a 15000 case that takes a 3035 and the eta 2836 is too thick to fit. You need to use a 2824 . I'm 100% sure. I read the same info as posted here and the 2836 will not fit in a rolex 3035 case.

The other option is to get a 15200 case and use the yuki 3135 movement. No issues with Dwo and the yuki 3135 will take a gen dail.

I actually MADE it starting from a blanked dial, made a "soleillé" and so on.
