Small Review Of The Slr

Did you have to special order? I went to Andrew's site and only saw this with the leather Strap:

You can ask him to get the SLR with the SS bracelet. He got already several requests as far as I know. Just ask him.

Strange, I see all tastes are in nature : I ordered a leather strap because I now slowly start being bored by the SS one :)

Best way is to have both, and change according to your mood : both (integral) leather and steel dresses fits very well.

Hi,

would you post one or two pics of the blue one ? How does the strap look like ? Cheap or quality leather ?

My stopwatch hand reset very slightly before 12. Hardly noticeable. But it seems to be a problem on many "chep?" quartz movements. I have two other Chronos (non reps from cheaper brands >> Festina and Fila) and they also do not reset correctly.

Cheers.

BTW : what colour is your SLK ? ;)

Quick pic of blue one.

There are automatic versions of the SLR out there. I just aquired two of them this week, and the back dial one even has the correct black date window. I owned a quartz version of the SLR as well. They are nice watches, but they are not in the same league as the Link Automatic with the highbeat Asian 7750.

Hi, would you have some link or dealer name for that ? Thx

Pix - I didnt get them from one of our dealers. I have an international flight attendant friend that got them for me. Check out the new topic I created yesterday with pictures of the watches.

:black_eye:

ARGH !

I wish I could get one...

Too bad.

I'll read your topic, for sure.

Excellent ! For me, the strap looks good. I'm waiting my brown one (Josh could source one for me !). :thumbsupsmileyanim:

You were right...the look of the watch is outstanding. Had the bracelet sized by a watchsmith and he was impressed with the watch. 5 days from the time I ordered the watch until arrival in the US. Had an issue with the second hand not resetting back to 12. Sent e-mail to Andrew and he responded within an hour.

"Dont worry... very easy... pull the crown out lightly twice and then push the chrono pusher to adjust the chrono needles and subdial needles. It can be done for the OS20 Quartz.. =)

Andrew"

He is a stand-up guy....

Hi Negru...

difficult to know without opening the watch, but most of the quartz movements with this layout must be OS 20.

BTW, do you need to change it already ?

NOO WAY, i don't need to change it, i just wonna know what movement i have, I wonna know very good my watch, I like to know something I own, so I am just interested, my watch is new, one week is "his" age:P, i will upload some pictures, but now I am on my laptop traveling, and stuying about my watch :D, thank u anyway! BTW, what is your opinion about miyota movement in general, is good this miyota systems for watches?

Well, I'm not a specialist but a quartz movement is in any case more reliable than an auto. Miyota (citizen) are surely the biggest manufacturers of such movements and you find them in most quartz watches around (I own a Festina and it is equipped with it). Actually I don't see the advantage of a Swiss quartz against this one. Except that Swiss movements maybe have more originall layouts and/or features.
