Just stumbled upon this report about a Sotheby's Panerai auction taken on 6th Oct 2006 in Hong Kong.

To anyone interested, there are some nice shots (of new models too) and some crazy prices.

Quite. Crazeee prices - I hate to think what the intrinsic value of that 203 is? Price probably inflated by the circumstances and nature of the auction - so-called 'gavel hypertension'.

Anyway, I thought all 203s were offered by invitation only and anyone flipping one quite so quickly (within a year or so) would find themselves persona non grata with Angelo Bonati
