Please rate this 1680 red sub build thanks!

Hey guys! I am presented an opportunity to purchase this red sub at a very good price, but am unsure on how accurate it looks (?) 
Am looking to do some modding after purchase if needed as well. Any help would be appreciated thanks loads!

• Gen plexi
• Vietnam DWO 6/9 serif
• Milk 1680 case
• Swiss ETA low beat 2846
• Other viet parts too, insert etc
• Athaya crown Crown guard reworked Movement mod to non quick set date, like Gen 1570

I think, based on this parts list, I have 2 watches from the same builder and you cannot go wrong with him. The asking price is very good for those specs and he is using excellent components. It looks great.

You're welcome. His movement mods are well executed too and he regulates the movement.

Most obvious tells (to me) - case looks new (I would give it some patina) & dial looks new/aftermarket.
Depending on the price being charged, I would either figure in the cost of a better (ie, more realistic for its age) dial or, if your goal is accuracy over cost, look for a better watch.

The Vietnam dials are some of the best available in terms of accuracy of print, but yes they do look unreasonably clean and benefit from a bit of manual aging.

The parts list is fine but I am concerned about the cyclops position- it could be the camera angle but it looks too far to the right.

And yes, the dial and case need some aging but the insert looks good.

The insert is the first thing I notice as the fonts  are not correct. The fading looks nice though.

As above the cyclops position does not look right either, but could be the angle of the shot.

The legs are  too thick, even for a NOS case so would look to have them redone.

Because in this era cases had a lot of hand finishing, I have seen gen examples with fat crown guards like this. Not as many but they are out there.
