TmeShare

Recommended Posts

I have one of the new generation Breitling Chronomat Evolutions. Nice watch but at either end of the flip top claps there are srew heads on each side that continue to come loose. Any one else experiencing this problem?

I havent had a problem, but screws coming loose in a rep is not uncommon. A bit of loctite always does the job.

Whats the best kind of Loctite for the job. Simple superglue or are we talking a product designed for locking threads?

Cheers

Use LocTite that can be removed, not permanent. It will keep them inplace but allow you to reove if you have to.

I use LocTite Blue 242 (removable) - part number 24200. Obtain from hardware stores.

Thanks Usil,

Will try to pick some up today.

If you are talking about the screws for the small links directly on either side of the clasp, remember that you can't just tighten each side separately. Rather, you have to hold one side still with a screwdriver while tightening the other side with a second screwdriver.
