My favourite colour strap for Pams...

V

Recommended Posts

Everytime I look my strap collection I always find myself prefering by far the Dark brown/burgundy coloured straps...

I think they would do a perfect combination with the brown dials Pams.. too bad they are all in titanium cases (..I don't like titanium)

So what colour straps do you prefer for your Pams?

Definitely dark. Dark brown or Black sometimes. Dark calf, dark gator, dark buffalo - do not like any light colored straps.

Bought one once and used dark shoe polish on it which actually turned out better than expected. I have also dyed straps with leather dye to get closer to what I want.

I really rely on member pictures of their straps to get the best idea of what they look like. Can't generally trust the pictures from the suppliers and have been disappointed.

i definitely agree -- i wear my dark brown straps the most (hands down). although a nice black strap can be a nice change from time to time.

but my absolute favorite color is the PAV 91 :o on your 112h in that picture (am i right about this one V?)

Hello V and thank you for your post. I am one of the new guys here but I am desperately seeking my first PAM. I have the fever real bad and have even started looking for top quality straps before having a watch. I too like dark brown and burgundy but some black straps have looked great in some pics I have seen. Especially Flav's 127 he sold with the black Kevlar strap. Do you have a website for the straps you craft?

Best, Vlydog

I have the PAV 91 on my fiddy now and it is my most favorite strap hands down. It looks great on your base V. I also have the PAV 99 on my 232 and it rocks as well, but the 91 is tops!

Generally, I, too, prefer a dark strap. But I will make exception for an exceptional strap. Like this OEM:

This next strap took me by surprise. It is light tan. I don't like tan straps. But I love this one. The leather was reclaimed from seats in a derelict railway carriage... So you know it was made by HK Tan. I think it is the perfect companion for the vintage California:

I know that some of the purist out there will bash me for this but I am putting a black stingray/black stitching on my PAM187. Thought it would be sort of cool to see sea animal strap on a diver. By the way Kruzer00 LOVE the strap, where did you pick that one up?
