RWG Technical
Try cleaning it with a lens cleaning cloth, they seem to do the best job of all, don't use any cleaners other than the mist from your breath on the crystal surface and it should come out clean. You should use a blower on the inside of the crystal first to make sure there are no particles. RG
freddy333
Just before reassembly, I always clean the inside of the case and crystal with Windex (glass cleaner) and a Viva paper towel (this brand will not scratch the plastic). Then I use a can of compressed air (available at office supply and computer stores) to blow any remaining moisture, dust and debris out. Just be sure not to touch anything on the inside of the case as you reassemble.
Zed
I'm finding that these new anti-static cloths are working quite well for that as they don't leave any dust and they work good for waxing the car too Zed
eunomians
Slightly off topic here but: It is very frustrating to get every single speck of dust off of the inside of a crystal and off of the dial. I've gone literally insane doing this over an over and over. It is the price you must pay for pure perfection.
