what to do if the thread of the crown tube gets striped?

I had this with my 183 and found I actually liked it better without the screw down crown. I took the back off, and removed the stem and then the case tube. Filed the threads totally away and cut the stem a bit shorter. Obviously doesn't help make it more water proof, but worked for me.

I bought a 183g black seal from eddie lee- swiss movement etc. The threads went in a month and the watch has started gaining 15 minutes every hour.

I contacted eddie lee a few times but he doesn't seem interested in even replying- he still gets round to sending me emails regarding new products though.
