How to distress a new Vintage Sub?

I've just bought a vintage sub from another member. It is a brand new one from Josh and I am keen to distress it to make it look a little more authentic.

Can anyone point me in the direction of any posts (I have looked already) or give me some advice on what to do. I know Enzo is a bit of a vintage/distressing guru, but I wasn't sure if that was just Panerai.

Put the case (only the case) in a box with some screws or nuts,than shake it...

That makes a real vintage look...
