statikman Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Where the hell are the GOOD 45mm POs with eta??? This wait has gone on far too long and I might have to go 42mm. Does anyone know?
trustywatchguy Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 No news yet .... If you ask me, 3mm difference isnt that much on the case size. Cheers.. Andrew

Estaban Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 My wife has never complained once. I tried on the gen PO in 42.5 and 45 and I much preferred the 45mm. I guess that's what happens when you start wearing 44mm Pams.
gran Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 My wife has never complained once. funny... BTW I am getting the 42,5mm PO...I guess I would have bought the 45mm high quality ETA version if it was available..probably someting to do with the production/factory/available parts that make the 42,5mm version easier and cheaper to make

Nebakanezzar Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 No news yet .... If you ask me, 3mm difference isnt that much on the case size. Cheers.. Andrew I have to disagree, I looked at the gen 42 and 45, there is a big difference. But I have a 9" wrist, so that might have soimething to do with it.
Nebakanezzar Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 I guess we'd have to ask our female participants what is more important... case diameter or case height? LOL
r11co Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 (edited) There are 45mm ETA reps out there (if you've been paying attention). Trouble is they are custom built jobs that TTK was shipping 4 months ago. If you want one now - start with one of trusty's Asian 45's and cannibalise any generation of ETA 42's movement (you will need to use the 45mm dial hands, and making Miyota hands fit an ETA movement is not an easy task). Swap the hour markers as well onto the 45 dial and... BINGO! Alternatively, stop being a movement snob (the BPH on the genuine co-axial movements is 21,000 anyway in order to increas the power reserve) and just do the hour marker switch from a 42.5mm ETA dial on a 45mm Asian PO and you've got the biggest and best PO going....
