fitmic
Since the Planet Ocean is my all time favorite replica, I wonder if they ever will fix the wrong Omega logo? It buggers me so much I plan to buy a genuine, or is there any modder who can fix it?

fitmic
the fixed logo version is supposed to be on the way to me right now ... only time will tell. see link for reference. Okay... I understand that one is from Silix. That dial suffer from flaws as well. Perhaps I should have stated in my first post, that I want an upgraded dial for the uPO. FxrAndy
The 12, 3, 6, and 9 markers are to short, unfortunately and the lume on the markers is not very good, now the silix hands are as bright and last aslong as my davidsen fiddy hands and they are SL! TeeJay
Will they ever fix the logo? Does it really matter? Why does it have to be 100% perfect to the gen? These are reps, folks, not gens being sold at 'cost price'. If such trivial details are really essential to people, then either mod the watch with OEM parts, or just buy a gen watch in the first place... I've got as good an eye for detail as the next guy, and sure, flaws are noticeable, to me, because I know what I'm looking for. Doesn't spoil my enjoyment of the watch any though... I think the 'Super Reps' are starting to give people unrealistic expectations...
piratedzeus
Yes your enjoyment is not spoiled Teejay... but the thread creators enjoyment is spoiled so ..?
wheaton26
@ teejay, obviously reps evolve so i think it's only natural to expect and look forward to new changes and corrections. all the best.
TeeJay
Yes your enjoyment is not spoiled Teejay... but the thread creators enjoyment is spoiled so ..? So... perhaps they need to consider that no rep will satisfy them 'out of the box', and they ought to budget to have modding done...
TeeJay
@ teejay, obviously reps evolve so i think it's only natural to expect and look forward to new changes and corrections. all the best. Absolutely. The one thing I would point out with that, is with the Casino Royale Limited Edition Planet Ocean, people have pointed out that the base model used, was not the latest generation PO available, and recently, people have noted that their 2531.80 SMP's have arrived with dials which are missing the 3 marker... As you say, reps do evolve, but at the moment, there certainly seems to be 'backsliding', so for people who really want 100% accuracy, budgetting to have mods done might be a more realistic goal, than to hope that the watch will be perfect 'out of the box'... luisik
having small flaws have become one of the main businesses for rep manufacturers... so never hope for a perfect one. They love people like you, buying every 6 months the new super duper ultimate of ultimates version
miquel
That's right. The rep factories will fix one flaw, but then introduce another. One step forward, two steps backward. Edited July 7, 2007 by miquel
