I seem to recall somebody developing a simple press in stud to correct "shortpinionitis" on Pam's...I haven't followed up much lately, so has this ever been developed..???....Seems almost too simple!! :whistling: :whistling:

Davidsen sells capped hands to fix the problem.

Or simply check on the height of the hour and minute hands. .... If there is a good space allowance, simply file the minute hand. :-)

A perfect example of the KISS principle....Looks like tomorrows project on my 217....I was wondering if anybody ever tried that!! THANKS!!

And here's the results...

I was able to remove just enougth material to just get the pinion dead flush with the hand surface... good enough for my tire old eyes!! :thumbsupsmileyanim: :thumbsupsmileyanim: :thumbsupsmileyanim:
