Pugwash Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 By-Tor, you've got a great talent for writing reviews, and are developing quite an eye... However, I will disagree with you. That'll teach you. The GMT is real, as has been confirmed by the rather immoral owner. The photographs were, as we suspected, deliberately deceiving.
docblackrock Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 NEVER buy a Rolex from a stranger unless you have the watch in one hand and the caseback in the other!!! ;) Wise words but even then, doing some homework on the paperwork/serial with Rolex will ensure you sleep easier at night.....there's lot's of Frankens out there
docblackrock Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Well well, I got lazy and skipped the payoff of this particular thread Ah well as suspected....
POTR Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Then why would he f* up his GMT's lugs with sand paper, and put on a mis-aligned dial ? For a joke? I think he has simply used the thread for some backwards 'validation.' Show me the movement.
The Mentalist Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 I think someone's just choked on humble pie, lol. FWIW, I think the GMT looks genuine too. Nice prank.
Pugwash Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Nice prank. Stupid prank. Don't post gens as reps and don't post reps as gens.
The Mentalist Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 He didn't though did he? I don't see anything wrong with what he did. In fact, there is a whole similar 'rep or gen?' thread going on right now. If anything, it demonstrated a good point.
