Pix
A rep of a rep ? Isn't a copy of a MBK an MBK too ? What makes the MBK ? The place where it's manufacured ? Its quality ? Its compatibility with some gen parts ?
Stephane
Ok, Pix. Here is what I have been told. MBK is a shop in Bangkok. The difference is thus they are not a manufacture. They put togheter watches from several parts coming from several places (some must be coming from China, but others are pure Thailand parts or even othere places, who knows really). The cases are obviously not made in the manufactories as our regular reps. They are "special" allthough not that perfect, as they accept genuine parts right away. The fact they are build from different parts and source also means they are not allways the exact same watches. Batch 2.358 can be very different from batch 2.357 The dial might be different, the insert...and so on. So, for sure, the quality of MBK (formerly MBW) is better than average reps but they still don't build the "Best Sub or wathever"! Calling a rep "so called MBW" is thus a lie and as stupid as calling a sub "so called perfect". No, a copy of MBK is not a genuine MBK...as they are not build by MBK So, be aware, if you want a genuine MBK buy it from an MBK AD
Pix
Thx for your time At the end, the purpose is to fit gen parts, isn't it ? I'd be curious about review of these clone's clones : if they are well finished and take gen parts, might be a good deal ?
Stephane
maybe but it's still not a gen MBK
narikaa
Two things to consider Nah Pliek (for that is the outlet for MBW/MBK s) in MBK - Mah Boon Khrong Bangkok: 1) Does not offer any form of postal service / dropshipping arrangements 2) Does not and will not extend considerable discounts...period Armed with these two inescapable facts rationalise the likelihood of a Chinese or Singaporean dealer travelling . buying, exporting, selling at going rates, any genuine MBK models. Stephane
maybe but it's still not a gen MBK Forgot to mention: we wouldn't want to buy reps do we ?
narikaa
I think the topic in hand is the description/ mis(leading)description of some new version of a rep .
Pix
Forgot to mention: we wouldn't want to buy reps do we ? Do you mean violate MBK's intellectual property ? /off Topic - Yesterday I saw a broadcast about China : one guy needed 10 minutes to paint "The Sunflowers" from Vincent Van Gogh. He could paint it without the picture in front of him, as he did already 10 000 times ! And beside him was a small army of painters, painting the very same masterpiece, one was in charge of the petals, the other of the vase etc... They could produce 100 pieces a day... /end off topic @Narikaa : agreed about the Topic. But it also shows that Chinese copy anything that raise interest. ANYTHING.
