plaifender
cool watch!! never heard of it, but i'm no history buff on watches.... edit: just looked at aeromatic's website... it looks like these watches are sold on its website for between $120 and $200US. Seems like a fairly cheap watch to deem "reppable".... Silix must be selling genuines...? Edited September 17, 2007 by plaifender
offshore
Joe, plaifender, I own a couple, purchasd fom the 'bay a couple of years back. This brand was an ongoing discussion at the old RWG a few years ago... actually if you search here, we may even have some discussion in the archives. (Think i was buying them around U$30-45 at the time) long story short. German company, purchased by "new' owners ( probably Asian) still assembled in Germany, and maybe even some Euro bits, but mainly "Asian" components. Enough cost % to still reach the Euro or German made requirements. As an aside, 1 that I have is a part skeleton, with a manual wind. The movement is just silky to the touch when winding, it brings back sweet memories of my early manual wind watches as a kid.... almost (Idid say almost) sensual to the touch! Offshore PS. Silixs won't be repped, will be the real deal.
