Victoria
Actually, I will love this brand-new Toscana Light Chestnut Bone Crocodile strap a very SHORT time, as it's on its way to its rightful owner, TeeJay! Promise kept! Here's a little preview, a mini-Caper if you will, since I would never mount it on one of my PAM 111hs, even if just to show him how it would look. But I thought he might like a sneak peak. The overall quality is GOOD. The croc Toscana one I got from Rolli is completely different, being more glossy and though more expensive than this one (albeit by a few dollars), I think this is perfect for a classy every-day strap, but not sombre and formal. The colour is somewhere between dark honey and molten gold, but it is much thinner in the "long" end than I anticipated. So thin, I wonder if one can wear it with a Panerai deployant? So guess what, TeeJay? Just in case you don't have one, I am throwing in a Diver strap with deployant for your use, as well as a Pre-V Panerai buckle. And maybe another strap, but which one is a surprise! Just let me know your colour preferences.
maxmilian
would look good on a 089, I think
Victoria
would look good on a 089, I think Interesting! It certainly is one of your more intricate PAM models, but I think the PAM 111/PAM 112 are a perfect match for this strap. Jawo has a similar one on his PAM 111h, only by HKTAN, which he showed TeeJay earlier. When this Toscana croc strap gains patina, it'll be the bomb. Notice, no outside stitchwork to take away from the eye's perspective from the croc.
scoobs1971
Uhm Vic, just curious: do you already own more straps than shoes? edit: oh boy, I've already found the answer in another thread 'I'm nearing 130 straps now' hahahaha
Victoria
Uhm Vic, just curious: do you already own more straps than shoes? *bangs head on keyboard* As I have said in my almost 2000 posts , I am not a shoe girl. I have maybe 10 pair. I have well over 100 handbags. As well as perfumes, wallets, laptop sleeves by the dozen, etc. etc. I just never understood the lure of shoes. My mother, OTOH... That strap looks absolutely fantastic, I can't wait to see how it looks When you say diver strap with deployant, do you mean the SS bracelet, or a rubber strap? I only ask as I have the SS bracelet on its way to me now, along with a watch I ordered for Emily's mum's birthday next month As for my color preferences, they are firmly in the brown ranges, from light tan, all the way through to dark chocolate. I do have a black strap for my 111h, but it just doesn't 'look right' on it, so I always wind up taking it off again Thanks again for such a generous gift, it really means a lot to me, I can't wait to get it fitted so I can put up some wrist shots
Victoria
Me love you long time!!! LOL! And yes, I meant rubber diver strap, the black variety like this. With deployant. Not the SS bracelet, since (1) I remembered one was on its way. (2) Nhuh-uh! I only have one and I'm not giving that up even for His Royal Sweetness! Browns it is. I have LOTS of those too. Very few blacks... EDIT: TeeJay, I will send this off the moment I look presentable and not like some freakshow attraction...seriously, I'm vain. ;( Hopefully, by Monday! EDIT #2: Made sure I used paper when handling it (never handling it directly), and I quickly put it back in its wrapping.
rckh
Hello Vbarrett: Last week, I found many peoples (included 2 ladies) wearing their Panerai keep showup in front of me. After that; my head keep telling me ..... "I need a black panerai" . As one of my target "IWC Conteaus Diver 2007" released; I need to choose whether I should get "IWC" or "Panerai". (Painfully..Not Both) BTW; any recommedation? I want a black one, Superlumed, Sandwich Dial, SS or Titainum. Beside DSN 111H; any model I should go for? Best Regards, Raymond

Hmm....I alway want a pair of rubber strap for my PAM. But I'm not sure they're fit for me as I just got 15.3mm skinny wrist. Also; where can I get a deployant? How much will it cost? And what's the width of deployant 20mm/22mm/24mm? Best Regards, Raymond

That'll look awesome Something I have noticed, is that in the main, people seem to prefer brown/red straps on PAMs rather than black. Not that it really matters, jsut something I've noticed That's okay, and no hurry at all. You don't need to apologize for vanity, I'm something of a narcissist, so I quite understand Strange little coinkidink, a jeweller's just phoned to confirm that the el cheapo brown strap I ordered just arrived, so I'll have to go pick it up later In theory, it's brown calf, but having only seen a photo, I can't vouch for the quality at that price, so time (and a wrist shot later ) will tell... Chances are, it'll only be on the watch till this new strap arrives, I have a feeling that that's going to become the permanant strap
Victoria
Hello Vbarrett: Oh hey Raymond! I'm glad I scrolled down again, since I didn't see your two posts! Last week, I found many peoples (included 2 ladies) wearing their Panerai keep showup in front of me. You would look perfect with the 005. It doesn't have the fancy "exposition case" to show the movement, so I don't know if that's a consideration with you. But the mosca (logo) on it, is just meant for you (like me), Raymond! However, please check with the real PAM experts like Lanikai, Sssurfer, et al to see if DSN's latest 005 incarnation is accurate dial-wise. They say his first efforts are to be avoided...but eventually, they're almost perfect. -- I got mine from TWP, who is modding it. Can't wait! -- However, you say you can't get both. Well, you always say that, and eventually you break down and get more reps. You already have a beautiful IWC Big Pilot. You COULD try for a Cousteau Diver, but a black-faced Panerai is very you, I think. Deployants are usually 24/22, so 22mm at buckle end. Depending on if you want an used OEM (U$75-200) to be found on Risti Accessories corner, or rep models like the very good one from DSN himself, you can spend around $20-40 for a new rep one. DSN gives you a choice of straps when you buy his watches. Why not just ask for one to be a PU with deplo? I'm sure he wouldn't say no to you, Raymond. hambone
That TC bone croc is one of the best looking watch straps out there. Have one myself and need to wear it more often.
