Talking about the gen...isn't there a version with a skeleton caseback? I heard there are a new bunch of SMP's coming through, with a return to the better bracelets. By-Tor Posted May 26, 2006 Report Share Posted May 26, 2006 I got this from King and I got another one exactly the same from silix, I have brought the same smp from both of them before about 4 months ago and it was a better version then the one in the picture. both of them told me they don't carry that version any more. This current version is not as good as the previous, where the bezel color is more correct with a better pearl, better bracelet, and better back case with that metal cover that covers the movement. this version doesn't have the above but is still a good rep as you can see in the pic. It's really weird that they discontinued the old excellent version and replaced it with the new. Yes I agree it's still a nice rep but why change something what was already awesome? Same kind of "backwards update" happened with the other SMP models (such as the 2255.80, GMT and Electric Blue... and now apparently even with the PO). Not to mention Rolex GMT Master II...even greater extent... sometimes the rep factories make absolutely no sense to me. But thanks for the comparison, good stuff. And enjoy your gen SMP.
