Group Buys - real competition

Hey,

what crossed my mind:

With new watches being released - that new IWC, new Seadweller etc....

What about a Group Buy for each watch. With the watch being REALLY new - we could get serious numbers... many people want it - nobody has it!

A small mail to all dealers who could do such a GB showing them that there are many buyers interested.. I think many would really 'correct' their prices for the GB.

I am talking about maybe 40-50 buyers for watches like the new seadweller.

What do you think?

You sure? The new SD... it will be released with Swiss 2836 and asian 2836. I think with a cheap 1:1 rolex... we have serious business :)

When the watch is released, let's start a thread informing everyone.... then wait until bklm reviews the pics / buyer reviews the watch... and get the mails sent out. If a dealer gets the chance for 50 deals I am sure he will lower his prices seriously so HE gets the deal.

Simple rule for me, the idea of any group buy is, first, saving money (about 15-20%) and/or receiving an additional service, what I means is for example, a watch that'll come already with an industrial double side AR coating, instead of doing it ourself by removing crystal (buying a crystal pusher/remover, case back remover), paying shipping to treat, wait, pay again to get it back, re-install it, etc. if one of those option is there, I would be in, depend of the model we talk about.

Great! ;P I will initiate this on the new SD - depending on its quality. Angus has no date for us (yesterday at least) but it comes soon.

Can you give to all of us a little taste of what is the "new" SD will be, or a reference of an existence thread of this? or just a photo? I'm jut too lazy too use search this morning :2:
