slai Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Ever since a salesperson insisted I try this on a few months ago, it's pops in my mind every couple days or so. It's definitely beyond what I can afford but I just found it stunning. Any idea who makes this movement? Who makes the watch for that matter? It's a retrograde chronograph...so much fun watching it go.
section8 Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 apparently, Tiffany makes it http://www.pakiemak.com/2006/09/tiffany-ma...retrograde.html
slai Posted October 17, 2007 Author Report Posted October 17, 2007 apparently, Tiffany makes it http://www.pakiemak.com/2006/09/tiffany-ma...retrograde.html I can google too. Edit: I should learn to scroll down. • Both models uses a customized ETA 7751 automatic chronograph movement manufactured by Agenhor, a Geneva based company that creates custom watch movements for high end watch brands. Duh. Move along, nothing to see here. P.S. Section8's father smelled of elderberries.
dluddy Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 In-house design for Tiffany but uses a customized ETA 7751 automatic chronograph movement manufactured by Agenhor
section8 Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 I can google too. Apparently not since you couldn't find that link
Viennawatch Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Besides, if you look REALLY close under the 6 o'clock position, it says that its made by the Swiss! haha Regards, VW
section8 Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 P.S. Section8's father smelled of elderberries. Go away or i shall taunt you a second time-a
slai Posted October 17, 2007 Author Report Posted October 17, 2007 Go away or i shall taunt you a second time-a Who is your lord?
slai Posted October 17, 2007 Author Report Posted October 17, 2007 Besides, if you look REALLY close under the 6 o'clock position, it says that its made by the Swiss! haha Regards, VW Everyone's a comedian today!
section8 Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Who is your lord? I told you, we're an anarco-sydicalist commune. We take it in turns to be a sort of executive officer for the week...
slai Posted October 17, 2007 Author Report Posted October 17, 2007 You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you.
geo1nah2a Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Very interesting watch. I like the fact that I can see the running seconds retrograde gears. It must be very nice looking at it work. Actually you can see all 3 bridges that were added to turn this 7751 into a tri-retrograde chrono. I would change the position of the date and the logo. Take out the logo and replace it with a black date wheel window. I am sure that if Tiffany&Co had a small symbol as a logo, it would have looked so much nicer. Here is a little photoshop I did.
Viennawatch Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Comedians... well I'm not being serious because I think this watch is fugly.... My 2 cents... Regards, VW
docblackrock Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Retrograde chrono blah blah or not....I still can't tell the frickin' time! I'm with VW, it's a fugly looking piece reminds me of the UN Freak. I say ditch the gold for Ti or WG perhaps, and sort that bloody awful dial out. Oh and god knows what's with the vintage-style hands.... T&Co.??
offshore Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 it's a fugly looking piece reminds me of the UN Freak. Doc, You disappoint me... The UN Freak indeed... the Holy Grail! By my own admission, it is the intracies of the movement that places it in the exalted position of Numero Ono, but PLEASE, let us never again speak in vain of the UN Freak! Offshore
Viennawatch Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 I must take your side on that Offshore.. The UN FREAK sends shivers down my spine... I WANT IT, I WANT IT, I WANT IT!! Maybe I'll put it on my Christmas list to Santa this year! haha
