chrgod
I was discussing watches with a friend yesterday, Rolexes and the Daytona in particular.. I told him about Oyster case, superlative certified Chronometer, perpetual and that stuff.. But I was unable to answer whan he asked why Rolex call their stopwatch "Cosmograph" instead of the more usual "Chronograph".. "Cosmo" means space, so maybe Rolex hoped to be chosen by Nasa?? (As we all know, the Speedmaster got that honour) I have googled, and searched on TZ without luck.. but does any of you guys know the answer? Thanks in advance! Pugwash
Chronograph: A multifunction sport watch with stopwatch functions. Most have two or three small dials on the face, for measuring seconds, minutes and hours. Cosmograph: As with a Chronograph, except that the Tachymeter function is found on the watches bezel.
