A sad day

Recommended Posts

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is

worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went

unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote "The Hokie Pokey" died peacefully at the

age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin.

They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

NO WAY, Nanquq.

First, RIP of course.

But in that Finepics thread this weekend, I was about to post as my joke-reply, the lyrics to The Hokey-Pokey!! :p Without further ado, and with grateful thanks for one of the best dances invented:

You put your left leg in

You put your left leg out

You put your left leg in

And you shake it all about.

You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around

That's what it's all about!
