Quick question, I am able to set the date via the crown but when I am unable to change the date by rotating the hands. I haven't allowed it to rotate on it own with thee crown screwed in yet so I don't know if it will actually switch. Is this normal? If so how do I know when I am in AM or PM mode when switching the date? Thanks
The Red Baron Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 I am not sure what you mean. You mean you haven't kept it charged up enough to see if the date will change on its own? It is supposed to do this, and if this is the case, keep it charged up to see if it will change. I don't know how you can tell if you're in AM or PM so when mine loses its charge and I need to change the date I just move the hands as many hours forward as needed till it changes over to the current date/time. If you keep it wound up (as I referred to as "charged up" earlier), and you need to change the date it will be set to AM or PM by the time you have and so shouldn't be a problem.
Hydronaut Posted November 24, 2007 Author Report Posted November 24, 2007 Thanks for the reply. I meant that even when winding the hands with the stem al the way out the date does not change. I can set it with the crown pulled out part way but moving the hadns does not change it.
hyster Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 You should see the date flip over at 12 if you turn the the hands through 24hours (passing 12 twice) Can you alter the date with the crown in the date set possition?

hyster Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 I think you may have to contact your dealer and let them know. Does the date make any attempt to change when you pass 12? (bearing in mind you have to pass it twice to get it to change)
Hydronaut Posted November 25, 2007 Author Report Posted November 25, 2007 Already contacted the dealer,just waiting for a reply. He is one of the recommended ones so I am assuming it will not be an issue. It does not even make an attempt to turn over.
