  1. Thats a beautiful stock certificate. I have one as well from one of their later years. Read the text of that letter, its complete nonsense that sounds like it was written by the guy who made the watch in his workshops somewhere in Asia. I'm sure the General Manager of Pan Am Airways named J. Ogilvie would have really written like that...hahaha. That "Codly" guy on VRF is really digging himself into a hole over there. Not sure what his motives are. Bizarre. I don't think there is a Pan Am Airways museum either. And the use of the Pan American Games brochure is deceptive as well - NO relation to the airline whatsoever haha.
  2. Me too! Here's two quick wrist shots. I'll take some better ones with the DSLR this weekend when the sun is out!
  3. I just got a gen 5513 from 1973 - easily one of my favorite Rolexes. You've done a fantastic job there!
  4. Looks great - congrats on the build. Love the movement you put in there!
  5. I take back what I said above - my favorite pic is the b&w one w/ Daytona in red. Striking!
  6. Yea natural light is the absolute best. I found that my Nikon D80 takes incredible pics of my watches in a glass-enclosed porch, for example. But yea Valty, you've done an amazing job w/ those pics with artificial light! seafoam, can't wait to see yours as well!
  7. WOW - Valty, those are some stunning pictures! Hard to believe it, but the watch does look even better in person. But I gota say, those are some beautiful pics! The black and whites are really crisp but you need the color shots to bring out that dial, where it is laying flat are nice! Glad you like it!
  8. seafoam, you'll love it - its a beauty! Maybe for the anniversary of the Daytona they'll release a model that looks like this or maybe provide a black bezel insert for the modern Daytonas. mmmm
  9. Thats a good point - if you love the 116520, get it and immediately send it out
  10. Second that. Go vintage - they look a helluva look nicer and will last you much longer. Spinmaster's builds are phenominal, but not cheap.
  11. Hey y'all - just thought I'd shoot everyone an update. Spinmaster came through big time and fixed the watch up and the pusher issue is resolved and its now sitting on a new Yuki bracelet. Fantastic!
  12. I just want to echo the OP's findings - my Yuki bracelet arrived and it is a HUGE improvement over the stock DW bracelet. Far nicer quality!
  13. Just wanted to shoot an update out there and say that I ordered the Yuki bracelet for this watch and it arrived (very quick shipping). It is an incredible upgrade from the DW stock one. Far nicer finish, less rough edges, much more substantial, better weight. Anyone on the fence (its only $58!) should def do the upgrade to Yuki's bracelet.
  14. Yea seriously - even side by side, almost indistinguishable. The one on the right (the gen) has just an ever so slightly better finish to it, but thats close EVEN side by side. And the rep has rep plastic on it
  15. Depends on out of whose box you're talking about. If you go Spinmaster's vintage Daytona route (and perhaps other models he does?), he does a whole bunch to the watch/movement and ships it off to you for one price. That way you're going to get a high quality rep that should last a while.
  16. Sort of - you go search the web for the torrent, you get the torrent (its like a 2kb file) from whatever website you're searching on, there are tons of them. Having the torrent file, you open it in your torrent program - that program then uses the information from the torrent file to automatically pull in all the pieces of whatever you are downloading until you have a complete thing of whatever it is you wanted to download, in this case, episode(s) of Top Gear BBC/UK (for the love of God don't download any American ones..haha)
  17. When you're searching for torrents on the web you're able to download that tiny little torrent file which is an informational file or table of contents of sorts that contains the instructions for your torrent program to go find everybody else using that "tracker" as they are called and fetch the pieces you need to makeup the whole thing you're trying to download.
  18. 1. Download a program like uTorrent 2. Goto thepiratebay.org or similar site you can search for what you want. 3. You essentially download the tiny torrent file for the thing you are looking for and then it opens in your torrent program and will automatically download it for you to enjoy
  19. The pushers on my Spinmaster 6263 Daytona suddenly stopped working after 2 or 3 uses when I first got it - I bet its something simple and would love to have them fixed. Gracias!
