  1. Oh I did I think it got no replies haha I'll see if I can dig it up. Cheers!
  2. "Top Gear" America is HORRIBLE - I don't know why they bothered. Its rubbish without the funny, edgy, Brits. BBC Top Gear cracks me up so much (they re-ran the Top Gear Winter Olympics last night..."I don't want to eat golden snow!!!!" haha. "Top Gear" America gave me douche chills. I loved seeing the Viper but its just like any other boring car show that belongs on Speed channel or something....I hope they dump it or re-name it.
  3. Hi y'all. My Daytona 6263's pushers have become inoperative and the large seconds hand and the chronos are still running from when I started them. I'd rather they didn't run 24/7 as that will increase the life of my watch. Who is a good, trusted person in the US I can send the watch to, to have this fixed and also to have a bracelet swapped on for me. It appears The Zigmeister is away until Dec. and isn't taking PMs. Many thanks!
  4. Oh they did!? I didn't know that, thanks for the info.
  5. Very nice! An observation, its not a 6263, it has a Paul Newman dial and only the 6239 and 6241s are PN dials
  6. Dizz, I was looking into this very project a few months back and there was some site out there I'm sure everyone is familiar with (I'm forgetting it at the moment) where, if you supply them with a gen El Premiro 400 movement (in my case, I was going to take it out of my Ebel 1911), they build you a complete 16520 with pretty much everything gen (except the case body itself, which is no big deal) and accurate movement markings for about $3,500. But yea, if you don't have the movement you're probably looking at another $500-$1k.
  7. The 16520s (El Premiros) are down to $8-9k now? Wow - I'd say if thats your watch, save up for the gen! I looked at many franken options for my newer Daytona that I wanted and just decided that buying a gen 116520 was much better off in the long run. Now for my 6263 I went a franken rep option through Spinmaster - only way to go as I don't have $40k to drop on one of them haha.
  8. Here is a D serial (2005.5 -> 2006.5) and I can't see the rehaut engraving - but its not the best picture And it doesnt look like this has it either: And another D serial http://market.watchprosite.com/show-forumpost/fi-712/pi-3719321/ti-595246/s-0/ This is in keeping with when the new blue parachrom hairspring came about, approx 2005. I'm guessing they added the rehaut engraving at the same time.
  9. When Rolex switched from the Zenith El Premiro 400 movement, watch model 1652x to the in-house 4130 1165x models, the seconds went from 9 to 6. This happened around 2000/2001. I'm not entirely sure when the ROLEXROLEXROLEX rehaut engraving came on. My gen 116520 from 2007 has it, but I think it was a relatively new feature. I don't think it existed since the switch but I could be wrong.
  10. The Daytona USED to be considered huge and bulky - why the vintage ones didn't sell well in their day, but are now so coveted. DSSD is probably the biggest Rollie today?
  11. Yea no dice, its on super tight. I'd love to try this loosening of the caseback though myself before I send it off to someone to take a look at. What is the least expensive tool you guys recommend for this DW Daytona 6263 caseback? (I'm not sure I want to invest in a good/expensive one because I just won't be removing casebacks hardly ever - unless the cheap ones aren't recommended) Thanks!
  12. Ronin, very interesting. I don't have any tools - what do y'all recommend for loosening the caseback? A wad of duct tape?
  13. Not bad for what you get - I sent you a PM but I think his prices are published publically too.
  14. Oh looks like hes Canada, that'l work. Unless someone knows a rep-friendly guy in the Boston area?
  15. Thanks I'll take a look. Is The Zigmeister in the US? Someone in the US would be easier to send it back to than Spin probably.
  16. Yea def checked that. Fully unscrewed. The pusher depresses properly into the case but nothing happens. Doesn't feel like it's triggering anything inside the movement either
  17. Good to know. Bigger issue just arose. I used the top pusher to start the seconds hand, and now when I push it again it won't stop the seconds hand....ugh. It was working fine last night.
  18. Thanks. Oh, interesting. You mean the number '110' ? Looks like Yuki's also has a more pronounced space between "UNITS" and "PER"
  19. Hey y'all, just wanted to let you know that my long wait for the Daytona 6263 I ordered from SpinMaster arrived and I couldn't be happier! Below, please find a few quick pictures I snapped, with more to come tonight. SpinMaster was a pleasure to deal with, he communicates excellently, and his work speaks for itself. Don't panic if you don't hear from him for a few days, he'll get back to you! Shipping did take a while, but its coming from Asia to CONUS so no worries there. Just be patient, it'l show up! The watch itself had all the workings done by SpinMaster with the extra goodies of a gen T21 crystal, gen pushers, crown, and tubes. Plus, the movement was serviced, which is really a must on these watches and will provide (hopefully) many years of enjoyment. The only downside to the DW Daytona kit is the bracelet, which really is CHEAP - but one can source the proper bracelet (and then use the existing DW endlinks) for $58 from Yuki. I'll be picking one of those up shortly, but the DW bracelet feels *just* sturdy enough that it wont fall off my wrist so I'm OK for now OK, on to the pics! (Wrist shot, and with light reading. Pics taken with iPhone4 and unedited - great camera!)
  20. Spinmaster might be doing them on special order nowadays with no leftovers from cancelled orders floating around - I ordered one from him a few weeks back. Just PM him.
